Ming Chao graduated with a Bachelor of Commerce in 1997 and Masters in Information Systems in 2000. She has lectured and tutored both in the School of Information Systems and School of Accounting and Corporate Governance. Subjects taught include Systems analysis and design, Information management and Accounting Information Systems.

Ming Chao has recently completed a PhD in the School of Computing and Information Systems looking at the impact of information technology on clinical handover. Her primary supervisor was Associate Professor Paul Turner.
